Engines of sectoral labor productivity growth

We study the origins of labor productivity growth and its differences across sectors. In our model, sectors employ workers different occupations various forms capital, none which are perfect substitutes, technology evolves at sector-factor cell level. Using model we infer technologies from US data over 1960-2017. find that sectoral in largely due to rate routine augmenting technologies. Neither capital accumulation nor occupational employment structure within explains much growth.
